Yu Ye is a Professor at the School of Physics, Peking University, and serves as Deputy Director and Principal Investigator (PI) at the Institute for Quantum Control of Materials, Liaoning Academy of Materials. He is responsible for research directions in quantum-controlled material growth, fabrication, and magneto-optoelectronic coupling devices. His research focuses on the physical properties of two-dimensional materials and device physics. 

He has published over 100 research articles as first or corresponding author in internationally renowned journals such as Science (2), Nature Nanotechnology (3), Nature Electronics, Nature Synthesis, Nature Photonics, Nature Communications (6), Physical Review X / Physical Review Letters. His work was selected as one of the “Annual 10 Semiconductor Research Advances in China in 2021.” He was also selected as a national-level overseas young talent program and has received several honors, including “China’s Top 10 Emerging Science and Technology Figures” and the “2024 2DM Young Scientist Award.”
